China State Railway Group Reports H1 2026 Net Profit of 1.85 Billion Yuan, Up 19.35% YoY

IT Home, August 31 — China State Railway Group today disclosed its financial settlement for the first half of 2026. In H1 2026, the group achieved a total operating revenue of 589 billion yuan, with a net profit of 1.85 billion yuan.

For comparison, in H1 2025, China State Railway Group achieved a total operating revenue of 586 billion yuan and a net profit of 1.55 billion yuan. Calculations show that total operating revenue for the first half of this year increased by 0.

IT Home learned that in H1 2026, national railways cumulatively transported 2.348 billion passengers, a year-on-year increase of 5%, hitting a record high for the same period; among them, 24.844 million passengers were transported on May 1 alone, setting an all-time record for single-day passenger volume.

In H1 2026, national railways cumulatively completed a freight transport volume of 2.015 billion tons, up 1.8% year-on-year; rail-water intermodal transport volume reached 9.

12 million TEUs, up 11% year-on-year; and full-process logistics volume, primarily relying on main railway line transport, reached 243 million tons, up 87.9% year-on-year.

In H1 2026, national railways completed fixed asset investment of 363.2 billion yuan, up 2.1% year-on-year, and cumulatively put 355.2 kilometers of new lines into operation, achieving a strong start to the 15th Five-Year Plan.

As the market-oriented reform of railway passenger and freight transport continues to deepen and the dividends of the modernized railway network are gradually released, China State Railway Group's operating performance has steadily improved.
