Tesla has officially launched a more affordable, simplified-spec Model 3 sedan (rear-wheel drive) in the Hong Kong and Macau markets, with the official page describing it as "the most affordable vehicle with the lowest long-term cost of ownership."

According to Tesla's official website, the new model is priced starting at HK$205,000 in Hong Kong (approximately RMB 176,000 at current exchange rates), an 8.5% decrease from the previous base model's price. In Macau, the starting price is MOP$252,000 (approximately RMB 209,790 at current exchange rates).

The standard Model 3 is a single-motor rear-wheel drive with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.2 seconds. Its Supercharging cap is only 175 kW, significantly lower than the 250 kW of higher-tier models, but its 15-minute recharge range (286 km) is actually the highest.

Meanwhile, the official maximum range on a single charge has been increased to 572 km. This version has seen some interior and exterior configurations deleted or downgraded, featuring cloth seats with heated seats and steering wheel, a 7-speaker standard audio system, and a 15.4-inch central touchscreen.
