Capcom Reveals New Trailer for 'Onimusha: Way of the Sword', Launching September 4
IT Home, August 30 — Capcom has unveiled a new trailer for the game Onimusha: Way of the Sword. The title is scheduled for release on September 4, launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC, with support for Chinese subtitles and audio.
IT Home includes the official description of the game below:
This title is an ultimate action game of clashing blades and blood, an eye for an eye. In an unrecognizable "Kyoto," a samurai wearing the "Oni Gauntlet" roams about, slaying the rampant Genma. Bathed in blood amidst fierce sword fights, he continuously seeks the meaning of battle.
Where will the path ahead ultimately lead?
The game is not an open world but adopts stage-based progression. Players will continuously defeat enemies and solve mechanical puzzles across different scenes, experiencing a tight pace and rich variety. The development team revealed that the main campaign takes about 20 hours, also including a large amount of optional side quests and hidden content to satisfy the needs of exploration-oriented players.
Although the game emphasizes exhilarating action, the difficulty setting will not reach the high barrier of entry seen in the "Souls" series. Capcom hopes that through challenging but not overly punishing combat, more players can enjoy the thrill of "slashing demons," highlighting the satisfying impact of sword duels and shaping a unique Onimusha experience.
