Honor Robot Lightning Makes Overseas Debut as First Robot Competitor in Malaysian Marathon
According to Guan Haitao, Global Chief Marketing Officer of Honor, the Honor robot Lightning has made its first overseas appearance at the Malaysian Marathon, becoming the first robotic competitor in the event's history. Following its record-breaking runs in the human 100-meter and half-marathon categories, Lightning successfully completed the 10-kilometer race under the dazzling night sky of the Petronas Twin Towers, setting a new event record. Developed in-house by Honor, the 169cm-tall humanoid robot features a trendy red mecha design and boasts speed and explosive power as its core strengths.
Lightning previously finished a 1,500-meter race in 2 minutes and 30 seconds, breaking the human world record.
