Original Cast Hard to Reunite: Persona 4: Revival to Feature New English Voice Cast
IT Home, August 30 — According to a report today by the gaming media outlet GamesRadar, developer Atlus has decided to change the English voice actors for the game Persona 4: Revival.
The game's producer, Kazuhisa Wada, stated during Gamescom 2026 that the English dub for the original Persona 4 game was recorded a long time ago. Because more than a decade has passed between the remake and the original work, many of the original voice actors have already left the voice acting industry, while others have now become well-known actors, making their schedules difficult to coordinate.
For example, Yosuke Hanamura in the 2008 original game was voiced by Yuri Lowenthal. Today, his profile is far higher than before, and he voices Peter Parker in Marvel's Spider-Man game series.
Regarding this, Kazuhisa Wada stated: "So we realized that there's no way to bring the original cast together now. We had no choice but to start over and find a completely new lineup, and then do the best we can."
As IT Home understands, Persona 4: Revival is a remake of Persona 4. The development team previously stated that the game will overall remain faithful to the original work, as the themes addressed in the original remain relevant today.
