Haiku R1/beta6 Released

Two years after the release of its fifth beta, the open-source BeOS-inspired operating system Haiku has released its sixth beta. Following the acquisition and subsequent discontinuation of BeOS by Palm in 2001, the Haiku project was officially launched shortly after, releasing its first version in 2002, Haiku R1 Alpha 4.1 in 2012, and Haiku R1/beta1 six years later.

Beta6 primarily focuses on improving functionality and overall stability. Key changes in the new version include porting Firefox, improving QEMU support, implementing an OpenBSD-based memory allocation mechanism, enhancing support for various file systems, fixing over 530 bugs, and porting numerous new applications.
