Rumor: OM System's Upcoming Retro PEN Mirrorless Camera Resembles Olympus E-P7, Adds Vari-Angle Screen and Viewfinder
IT Home, August 31 — According to a leak yesterday by the source 43 Rumors, OM System's upcoming retro OM PEN mirrorless camera closely resembles the Olympus E-P7 in appearance. IT Home learned from the original report that the new PEN features a creative mode dial similar to the E-P7, providing black-and-white and color mode switching options, but omitting the previous "CRT/ART" option. Meanwhile, one dial has been removed from the top of the camera, but a new dial will be added above the thumb rest on the rear of the body, as seen in the official teaser video.
The camera will also support weatherproofing and be equipped with a vari-angle screen. Furthermore, the camera will include a built-in electronic viewfinder and a front dial similar to the OM-3, though it does not represent a major technological innovation overall.
